Besisahar-Chame Road Blocked by Landslide

Besisahar: The Besisahar-Chame road, a vital connection between Lamjung and Manang, has been obstructed by a landslide at Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-4. The landslide, which occurred this morning, has halted traffic and left vehicles stranded.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Naveen Bista, the information officer of the Dumre-Besisahar-Chame Road Project Office, reported that large rocks from the landslide have blocked the road. The size of the landslide is significant, and efforts to clear the debris will take time. A similar incident had occurred near the same location on June 18.

Additionally, traffic flow has been further disrupted due to two trucks breaking down on the Myardi cliff near the Lamjung-Manang border. Current efforts are focused on restoring traffic operations. Passengers facing urgent travel needs have encountered increased challenges due to the road blockage.
