Tanahun: A passenger bus plunged into the Marsyangdi River at Ainapahara in Aanbukhairani Rural Municipality-2 along the Prithvi Highway in Tanahun district this afternoon. The bus was traveling from Gorkha to Narayanghat when the accident occurred.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the bus, identified with the registration number Ga 2 Kha 1077, veered off its course and fell into the river. Police Inspector Tek Prasad Subedi confirmed that five injured passengers have been rescued and transported to Aanbukhairani Hospital for treatment.
The police have stated that rescue operations are still in progress as they work to ensure the safety of all passengers involved. Further details regarding the cause of the accident and the condition of other passengers are currently awaited.
