Manarashisawa: Manarashisawa Municipality has exempted the land revenue to render economic relief to the farmers of the dry-hit zone. The municipality has announced a hundred percent tax waiver for farmers during the current fiscal year.
According to National News Agency Nepal, a press release issued by the municipality stated that the decision to exempt hundred percent land revenue was made because the farmers have been unable to transplant paddy due to a lack of irrigation. This situation is likely to lead to an economic crisis caused by a dearth of food production.
In addition, Sarlahi’s Dhankol Rural Municipality and Godaita Municipality have also announced land revenue exemptions for farmers in the current fiscal year.
