Chair Nepal Claims Rising Public Trust in Communist Party

Kathmandu: Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, has informed that efforts were on for the leftist polarization in the country. Addressing the first central committee meeting of a student organization affiliated with his party in Kathmandu on Friday, Chairman Nepal argued that political polarization is imperative at present to resolve multiple problems plaguing the national economy, society, and politics. He also asserted that public trust was growing in communist parties in Nepal.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Chairman Nepal, who is also a former prime minister, reiterated that unification among the leftist forces committed to the people is essential for the country’s development and right direction. He emphasized that unity among communist parties is significant, underlining the importance of collaboration in achieving national progress.

He highlighted that good governance, employment, and public service delivery are prerequisites to institutionalize change in Nepal. These elements, he suggested, are crucial for fostering trust and ensuring the nation’s development.

On a different note, Chairman Nepal addressed a political conspiracy targeting him, involving a case filed by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) over a Cabinet decision taken 12 years ago regarding a Patanjali land swap. He expressed confidence in receiving justice from the court and firmly stated that he had never taken a bribe in his life.
