Kathmandu: There are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudur Paschim provinces today. The monsoon wind has its influence throughout the country at present, with the monsoon low-pressure trough somewhat closer to its average position in east Nepal and slightly north from its average position in the western belt of the country, the Meteorological Forecasting Division said.
According to National News Agency Nepal, as the weather remains partly to generally cloudy throughout the country, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudur Paschim provinces and at a few places of the rest of the country, says the Division.
There is also a possibility of light to moderate snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country. Tonight, the weather will continue to remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country. Light to moderate rain with thunder and
lightning is likely to occur at some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. There is also the possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places of Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces this evening.
