Country Advancing Under People’s Multiparty Democracy, States UML General Secretary

Pokhara: CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel has argued that the country is progressing based on the principles of People’s Multiparty Democracy.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Pokhrel highlighted these views during a program organized in Pokhara on Saturday, which marked the 74th birth anniversary of the late communist leader Madan Bhandari. He stated that the roots of democracy and state restructuring in the country have been established by the People’s Multiparty Democracy.

The People’s Multiparty Democracy has reportedly incorporated the ideas of liberation for all oppressed classes and communities, as well as for all of humanity.

During the event, Pokhrel urged party cadres to remain united, emphasizing that the UML is currently facing attacks from various fronts. Several UML leaders, including Somnath Adhikari, Manju Devi Gurung, Dhananjay Dawadi, and Bain Bahadur Adhikari Chhetri, also shared their insights at the program.
