Kapurkot: The Dang-Salyan road section of the Rapti Highway has been obstructed following a landslide triggered by heavy rain at Kapurkot, located at the border point of Dang and Salyan districts.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chief of Kapurkot Police Post, Tankeshwor Bhattarai, reported that vehicular movement along this crucial route has been completely halted since early morning due to the landslide.
Bhattarai further explained that the landslide occurred at Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3 in the Salyan district. Efforts are currently underway to clear the debris and restore traffic flow along the highway.
In the interim, authorities have advised vehicles and riders to utilize alternative routes and exercise caution in light of the road obstruction and ongoing risk of landslides.
