Expressway Should Be Completed by Adopting Alternative Measures: PM Oli


Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that the Kathmandu-Tarai/Madhes Expressway must be completed, even if it requires adopting alternative measures. The expressway, also known as the fast-track, is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Kathmandu and the Tarai region to within an hour.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister Oli shared on his social media account that a comprehensive discussion took place regarding the construction challenges of the Khokana-Dukuchhap section of the expressway. He emphasized the importance of completing the Khokana area construction to establish a connection with the Tarai region. Prime Minister Oli has urged the relevant ministry and the Nepali Army to find suitable solutions promptly, highlighting the urgency of the project.



Additionally, Prime Minister Oli mentioned that the Nepali Army is in charge of constructing the Kathmandu-Tarai/Madhes Expressway, underscoring its strategic significance for the country.
