Kathmandu: Minister for Forests and Environment Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri left for China today to attend a conference on bamboo. Minister Thakuri is scheduled to preside over the 13th session of the International Network for Bamboo and Rattan Council in Beijing at the special invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of China, as stated by the Ministry of Forests and Environment.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Thakuri’s visit underscores the importance of international collaboration on environmental issues, particularly concerning sustainable resources like bamboo. The Ministry announced that he will return home on May 24, marking the conclusion of his official duties in China.
