Kathmandu: The Nepal Police apprehended an inmate who escaped from the central jail during the Gen-Z Protest on September 9. Subin Gurung, 22, originally from Siranchowk Rural Municipality-8 in Gorkha district and residing in Tarakeshwor, Kathmandu, was captured in the Manamaiju area.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Gurung faced charges related to smuggling and poaching of wildlife. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shiva Kumar Shrestha confirmed Gurung’s arrest and involvement in the crimes.
