Gandaki Province Chief Mourns Passing of Former Chief Prithvi Man Gurung


Chitwan: Gandaki Province Chief, Dilli Raj Bhatta, has expressed his sorrow over the passing of former Gandaki Province Chief, Prithvi Man Gurung. He paid tribute to Gurung and extended condolences to the bereaved family members.



According to National News Agency Nepal, former Province Chief Gurung, who was suffering from cancer, passed away on Saturday morning at his residence in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-26, Chitwan, at the age of 76. Gurung was born in Kaski district, and his family later migrated to Bharatpur.



In a condolence message, Province Chief Bhatta expressed that he was stunned by Gurung’s untimely demise, noting that Gurung’s passing is an irreparable loss. He extended heartfelt condolences on his own behalf and on behalf of the people of Gandaki Province, wishing strength for the bereaved family members and relatives to endure the loss.



Gurung’s final rites are scheduled for Sunday, as informed by a family source. Gurung was appointed as the Gandaki Province Chief on July 27, 2021, and served until March 14, 2024.
