Govt Races Against Time for Successful March 5 Election: PM Karki

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has emphasized the government’s dedicated efforts to ensure the successful conduct of the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.

According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Karki, while presenting prizes to the winners of the ‘Dish Home Barhakhari Story Writing Competition, 2082’ organized by Barhakhari Media, stated that the current administration is fully focused on the election process. She highlighted the government’s commitment to maintaining good governance, acknowledging the pressures it faces from various political parties and the younger generation, commonly referred to as Gen-Z.

PM Karki expressed concerns over the expectations that the government should address all issues simultaneously, which she deemed unrealistic, though reassured that efforts are being made to the best of the government’s abilities. She also mentioned the challenges posed by the political landscape and the desire to avoid the turmoil currently being experienced by Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister underscored the necessity of national development, especially in light of the increasing deportation of Nepalis from abroad. On an additional note, she urged writers to document the stories of Gen-Z youth who have sacrificed their lives for the nation, emphasizing the unique narratives each martyr’s family has to share.
