Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has issued a forecast indicating the likelihood of heavy rain in certain areas within Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. The monsoon wind is currently affecting the entire country, with the monsoon low-pressure trough positioned at its average location. Rainfall is currently being experienced in the Kathmandu Valley and its surrounding districts.
According to National News Agency Nepal, today’s weather is expected to be generally cloudy across the nation. Moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is anticipated in some hilly regions and a few areas in the Tarai. The Division also highlighted the potential for heavy rainfall in isolated locations within Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
The Division further stated that the cloudy weather conditions are likely to persist throughout the night across the country. Moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning remains a possibility in certain hilly areas, including the Gandaki Province, a
nd in some parts of the Tarai.
