Birendranagar: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yamlal Kandel, has asserted that national prosperity can be achieved if citizens become aware and engaged in the development process. “Public awareness is the foundation of development,” the Chief Minister stated, emphasizing that no development plan or project can succeed without the active participation of the people.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chief Minister Kandel highlighted these views during an interaction with locals of Birendranagar Municipality-11 on Monday. He stressed the importance of direct public involvement in implementing development plans. He pointed out that merely including plans in the Red Book is not enough to bring about changes. He insisted that people’s participation is necessary from the needs assessment to the implementation of plans. Their direct involvement is essential in all steps of development.
