Karnali Highway Reopens After Landslide Disruption

Kalikot: The Karnali Highway, which had been blocked by a landslide since Monday evening, resumed operations on Tuesday.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Deependra Kumar Chaudhary, Chief of the Road Division Office in Jumla, confirmed that the highway was obstructed due to a landslide at Gagane Khola in Kalikot.

Gagane Khola is known to be the most vulnerable and landslide-prone section along the Karnali Highway. With the road now cleared, vehicles traveling to and from Humla via Kalikot, Jumla, Mugu, and Bajura on the Karnali Highway and Karnali Corridor have recommenced their journeys, Chaudhary mentioned.
