Major Infrastructure of Gwarko Flyover Completed

Lalitpur: The major infrastructure construction of the Gwarko flyover has been completed. Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Devendra Dahal, and a team from the Department of Roads conducted an inspection visit to the site today at the flyover construction area in Gwarko, Lalitpur.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Dahal noted that the construction of the flyover experienced delays as it was a novel undertaking for Nepal. Director General of the Department, Dr. Bijay Jaisi, mentioned that the flyover would be ready for vehicle operations within a few days. Remaining work includes the installation of some dividers at the center of the flyover and a few other tasks.

The project, with a budget of Rs 176 million, was initially scheduled for completion by February 23, 2024. However, the deadline was not met due to a variety of circumstances. The completion of the flyover is expected to facilitate smoother vehicular movement along the Koteshwor-Gwarko section.
