Kathmandu: National Assembly member Bhagwati Neupane has been appointed as the new Minister of Federal Affairs and General Administration. President Ramchandra Paudel, on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, appointed Neupane to the ministerial post today. This appointment follows the resignation of outgoing Minister Rajkumar Gupta, who stepped down after facing charges of corruption.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Office of the President confirmed that President Paudel appointed MP Neupane based on the Prime Minister’s recommendation, in line with Article 76 (9) of the Constitution. Neupane’s appointment fills the vacancy left by Gupta’s resignation, marking a significant change in the administration’s leadership.
