Kathmandu: Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has declared that the country must conduct an election to the House of Representatives (HoR) as the only viable political solution. During a program held at the party’s central office in Koteshwor to welcome new members, Dahal, who is also a former prime minister, emphasized the importance of moving forward with elections rather than seeking the reinstatement of the dissolved HoR. He highlighted the crucial role political parties play in fostering an environment conducive to elections.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Coordinator Dahal stressed that a single communist force is insufficient for national development and public welfare. He called for unity among all communist powers, emphasizing that such unity is essential for protecting national independence and finding political solutions. Dahal noted that leftist forces with similar ideological perspectives have started to polarize in the country.
During the same event, Joint-Coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal welcomed new members to the party and asserted that the NCP is gradually gaining popularity among the public. He underscored the necessity of strengthening the party organization in light of the imminent challenges they face.
A team led by district-level leader of CPN UML, Jay Prakash Tharu, from Parsa, joined the Dahal-led party, marking a significant shift in local political dynamics.
