Lalitpur: The number of visitors to the Central Zoo at Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, has increased significantly in recent days.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the increase in visitors correlates with the zoo’s decision to extend its visiting hours.
The zoo management implemented the new visiting hours on April 14, allowing entry until 7:00 pm, whereas previously, the zoo was open only from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. This extension has resulted in 99,219 people visiting the zoo from April 28 to May 29, compared to 84,336 people in the same period the previous year, as reported by the zoo’s chief, Satya Narayan Sah.
This increase of 14,883 visitors has generated an additional income of approximately 2.5 million rupees for the zoo.
