Nepalgunj: CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel has emphasized the importance of patience and dedication in politics to avoid unfortunate incidents. Speaking at the inauguration of the 12th General Convention of the National Commercial Bank Employees’ Union of Nepal in Nepalgunj, Pokhrel stated, “Perseverance counts in politics, while haste results in flaws.”
According to National News Agency Nepal, Pokhrel advised the younger generation to prioritize facts and truth, steering clear of emotional information to better evaluate circumstances and pursue social change in an informed manner. He highlighted the significance of youth engagement in politics, asserting that a new generation equipped with relevant knowledge can effectively address national problems.
Pokhrel noted that the UML is not just a party that claims to represent youth but actively involves them in political processes. He pointed out that one-third of the newly elected members from the 11th National Congress are young individuals.
He also encouraged employee leaders from Rastriya Banijya Bank to participate in nation-building efforts through entrepreneurship. The general convention of the bank employees is attended by 800 delegates from across the nation and aims to elect new leadership.
