Janakpurdham: Speaker of Madhes Province, Ram Ashish Yadav, has emphasized the necessity for journalists to operate in an independent, impartial, and fear-free environment to foster the institutional development of democracy. During an interaction with journalists held in Janakpurdham, Speaker Yadav urged media professionals to focus on publishing and disseminating factual news, as journalism serves as a mirror of society. He highlighted the need for political parties, civil society, and journalists to conduct their activities honestly and fairly to eliminate anomalies within the country.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Speaker Yadav expressed his commitment to ensuring the Madhes Province Assembly remains transparent, accountable, and people-oriented. He argued that collaboration with media personnel is essential for achieving this goal. Praising the critical role journalists play in highlighting public concerns, Speaker Yadav conveyed his belief that truth and fact-based journalism guides society along the right path.
