Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has sought the assistance of German Ambassador to Nepal, Udo Volz, to expedite the printing of passports by a German company contracted by the Nepalese government. This request was made during a courtesy call from Ambassador Volz on Thursday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Karki expressed her belief that Germany would support Nepal’s efforts to provide prompt passport services to its citizens. Ambassador Volz responded positively, assuring that he would urge the responsible company to accelerate the printing process.
The meeting, which took place at the Prime Minister’s office in Singha Durbar, also covered discussions on Nepal-German relations and mutual cooperation. Ambassador Volz congratulated PM Karki on her tenure and conveyed best wishes for her success. He further stated that Germany is prepared to offer support to Nepal in alignment with its needs and priorities.
The meeting was attended by Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gagdish Kharel, PM’s chief advisor Ajay Bhadra Khanal, foreign secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, and other diplomatic officials.
