Kathmandu: Nepal Press Union is set to hold the Lomanthang International Media Summit for four days starting May 10. NPU announced that the summit aims to raise awareness on various issues, contributing to civic prosperity and the vision of a prosperous Nepal.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the NPU detailed during a press conference that the summit will feature events in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Manang. The conference will explore the opportunities and challenges posed by technology in the South Asian media landscape, as stated by NPU Chairman Shiva Lamsal. Topics such as ‘Climate change and journalism’, ‘AI and new media in South Asia’, and ‘Press freedom: practices and challenges’ will facilitate discussions among attendees.
Experts from across South Asia are expected to participate in the summit, bringing a diverse range of insights and perspectives to the discussions.
