Rainfall Across Seven Provinces to Persist Until Thursday

Kathmandu: Weather in all seven provinces across the country remained cloudy today due to the impact of a westerly low-pressure system and local winds. As a result, rainfall has taken place in various parts of the country.

According to National News Agency Nepal, rainfall has affected normal life in some places, and snowfall has occurred in high-hilly and mountainous regions. Records from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology this evening indicate that some districts have witnessed heavy rainfall. Over the last 12 hours, Dadeldhura district recorded the highest rainfall at 46.6 millimeters, while 42.2 millimeters were recorded in Doti.

Similarly, Kathmandu recorded 13 millimeters of rainfall, Lalitpur 12 millimeters, and Bhaktapur 8 millimeters. Other districts such as Dhankuta, Surkhet, and Gorkha recorded 15 millimeters, 19 millimeters, and 11 millimeters, respectively.

Rainfall is still occurring in many districts, with the weather remaining cloudy and rainfall expected in some places on Thursday. However, the rain-causing system is expected to weaken from Thursday night. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunderstorms, lightning, and snowfall in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi provinces and Madhes Province on Thursday.
