Jhapa: A suspension bridge was constructed over the Ninda River in Mechinagar Municipality-15 in Jhapa district. The bridge was built with an investment of Rs 43.8 million and stretches 350 meters in length, connecting the Bircharni Bazaar and Heldubari of Mechinagar Municipality.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the construction of the bridge was initiated by the Urban Development Ministry. Prior to the bridge’s completion, residents of the area had to undertake a five-kilometer journey due to the lack of a direct connection between the Bicharni and Heldubari areas.
The contract for the construction was awarded to Thani Construction Pvt Ltd approximately two years ago, marking a significant development for the local infrastructure and improving accessibility for the community.
