Traffic Resumes on Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi Road After Flood Disruption

Rasuwa: The Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi road section, which had been blocked since July 8 due to flooding in the Lhende Stream, is now operational again. This reopening has allowed the Kathmandu-Timure vehicle service to resume.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Santosh Titung, Chief of the Namaste Pasang Lhyamu Bus Committee Dhunche Counter, confirmed that a passenger bus has successfully traveled from Kathmandu to Timure. The resumption of traffic services marks a significant step towards normalcy for the residents of Timure, who had been facing difficulties since the flood incident.

Life in Timure is gradually returning to its usual rhythm, as noted by Kami Tshiring Tamang, the ward chair of Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-2. The flood had previously caused significant disruption, especially affecting transportation logistics.

Trucks and containers that were stranded in Timure, Ghattekhola, and Rasuwagadhi due to the inaccessibility to Kerung, following the destruction of the Nepal-China Friendship Bridge, are now on the move again. Fifteen empty vehicles have already returned to Kathmandu, and several others loaded with Chinese goods are currently en route to the capital.

The reopening of this crucial road section is expected to alleviate the transportation bottleneck and reinstate smoother trade and travel between the regions.
