London: CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has left for the United Kingdom today. He is accompanied by UML Politburo member Sujita Shakya for the UK convention of the International Nepali Forum.
According to National News Agency Nepal, while in the UK, General Secretary Pokharel is expected to engage with members of the Nepali community and meet various diplomats. The trip is part of a series of engagements outlined by UML Central Member and Europe-America In-charge Ghanashyam Pandey.
Following his visit to the UK, Pokharel will travel to Qatar. In Qatar, he plans to attend several programs organized by the UML Party’s Overseas Committee. General Secretary Pokharel is scheduled to return home on June 22.
