Dhaka: Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party Chairman Mujibur Rahman Manju expressed that resolving the issues faced by the working class will be the primary focus of his party’s labour politics. “The politics of AB Party is the politics of solving problems. We want to transform our labour wing into a labourers’ party. Our labour politics will be to solve the problems of the working people,” Manju emphasized during a discussion at the party’s central office in the city. This event marked the occasion of 100 new members joining the AB Labour Wing.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was presided over by AB Party Labour Secretary Shah Abdur Rahman, with AB Party General Secretary Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad speaking as the special guest. During his address, Manju highlighted the perception of politics in Bangladesh, stating, “Corruption and misrule of political leaders have forced people to hate politics. But at the end of the day, politicians run the country. So, we have to work to change people’s perception about politics.”
Manju also stressed the importance of addressing people’s problems, stating that by raising demands with the government and organizing movements, the party could garner more support. He expressed optimism about the new members joining the party, saying, “Many new people joined (our party) today. I hope, we all will work together to establish people’s rights.”
