Baluwatar: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council to commence preparations for the 10th National Games, aiming for a successful event by mid-December.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the directive was issued during a meeting at Prime Minister Oli’s official residence in Baluwatar. The National Games are set to occur ahead of the Asia Games scheduled in Japan in 2026. Prime Minister Oli emphasized the importance of making careful decisions regarding the event’s date and location to avoid any changes once they are announced.
As the Patron of the NSC, Prime Minister Oli highlighted the necessity for effective coordination between the Ministry and NSC leadership to ensure the event’s success. Present at the meeting were Minister for Youth and Sports, Teju Lal Chaudhary, Secretary at the Ministry, Dr. Hari Prasad Lamsal, NSC Vice-Chairperson Dhurba Acharya, and Member-Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising, among others.
