Kathmandu: The Department of Health Supplies under the Ministry of Health and Population has dispatched rabies vaccines and antivenins, the medication used for snakebites, to all seven provinces.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Dr. Pawan Jung Rayamajhi, Chief of the Management Division within the Department, confirmed that the supplies were ensured to health institutions operating under the provincial governments. The Ministry was alerted by media reports about the shortage of rabies vaccines and antivenins in the provinces. In response, Minister for Health and Population Pradip Paudel reportedly directed subordinate agencies to address the issue promptly.
