Republic Media to Pay Journalists Regularly

Kathmandu: The Republic Media has agreed to pay regularly to its working journalists. The commitment comes as part of a new 4-point agreement signed with the Federation of Nepali Journalists.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the agreement ensures that Republic Media will adhere to the provisions of the Working Journalists’ Act, thereby respecting the rights of journalists. This move follows extensive discussions between the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) and the media house, aimed at addressing the concerns of journalists working at Republic Media.

FNJ General Secretary Ram Prasad Dahal highlighted that the agreement marks a significant step towards safeguarding journalists’ rights and ensuring fair treatment in the workplace. The Federation engaged in a series of discussions to advocate for the rights of journalists, ultimately leading to this agreement.
