Kathmandu: Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre) and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has committed to taking initiatives to resolve the issues faced by the Hetauda cement industry. This assurance came as he received a memorandum from representatives of a joint trade union at the CPN (Maoist Centre) Headquarters in Parisdanda.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chair Dahal recalled previous discussions held during his tenure as Prime Minister aimed at reviving struggling industries. He emphasized his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by the Hetauda cement industry and fulfilling the demands of its trade union, leveraging his role as an opposition leader.
Chair Dahal highlighted the CPN (Maoist Centre)’s ongoing efforts to restructure and reform government industries and factories. He reassured the delegation of his support for initiatives that benefit the working class and the nation.
The memorandum submitted by the trade union calls for actions against activities detrimental to consumer welfare, the resolution of negligence in the industry’s operation, and the acknowledgment of employee demands. The delegation included trade union leaders and CPN (Maoist Centre)’s central committee member and Makawanpur District In-charge, Bijay Gautam.
