Genetic Power of Nepali Students is Strong, PM Oli Argues

Janakpur: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stated that the genetic power of Nepali students is strong, as they are descendants of scholarly ancestors. Addressing the first convocation ceremony of Rajarshi Janak University, PM Oli, who also serves as the Chancellor of the university, expressed confidence that graduates from Nepali universities can compete with students from any university in the world.

According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Oli emphasized Nepal’s rich intellectual heritage, highlighting the country’s historical contributions to global knowledge. He mentioned that Nepal is a land of knowledge, bearing ancient civilizations such as Shaiva and Bishwamitra. He also pointed out that the world’s first Ayurveda doctor, Charak Rishi, hailed from Nepal. Furthermore, he noted that Nepal’s Bhaskaracharya published the book ‘Siddhanta Shiromani’ in 1210 BS, predating Newton’s Theory of Gravity.

PM Oli criticized misconceptions about eastern philosophy, arguing that it is not based on conservative notions but is a sound principle. He encouraged students to explore their talents, stating that every student has potential if given the opportunity to pursue their interests.

He urged graduates to nurture aspirations of humanity and benevolence rather than arrogance. “Education brings politeness; politeness brings good deeds, and good deeds ensure wealth while wealth provides happiness,” PM Oli concluded.
