Kirtipur: Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (UML) K P Sharma Oli has stated that there is no difference of opinion within the coalition partners as the government progresses with the right policies for political stability, good governance, and development. Inaugurating the 24th national convention of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) today in Kirtipur, Prime Minister Oli reiterated that, as per the agreement between the Nepali Congress and UML, the Congress will be handed over the leadership of the government after 13 months, with UML participating in the government.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Oli highlighted that the opponents are attempting to create division within the ruling alliance. He emphasized the commitment to securing a majority in the upcoming elections under the mission of 2084. As both UML and Nepali Congress are preparing to contest the elections, Oli expressed confidence in UML’s ability to bring a single majority.
Oli also stressed the importance of youth students playing a leading role in the campaign to fulfill the national aspiration of ‘UML’s people’s multi-party democracy and a Prosperous Nepal: Happy Nepali’ by being proficient in information technology. He recalled the pivotal role of the student movement, particularly ANNFSU, in compelling the declaration of a referendum in 2036 BS and the sacrifices made to bring true democracy and a republic to the country.
Chair Oli asserted that there would be no compromise on activities such as vandalism, beatings, arson in educational institutions, and shutdowns in the name of students. He urged the organization to remain transformative, civilized, and responsible. Additionally, Chairman Oli opined that ANNFSU members should be well-disciplined, decent, and cooperative.
