Madhesh Province: The Madesh Province government has introduced a ‘Hello CM’ initiative aimed at directly engaging with the public to facilitate communication and enhance good-governance.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the initiative is included in the provincial government’s annual policies and programme for the upcoming fiscal year and will be operational with the start of the new fiscal year 2025/26. This programme allows the public to submit complaints, share issues, and provide suggestions to the Chief Minister via telephone, social networking sites, and other digital platforms.
A dedicated information system will be established to monitor complaints and initiate the resolution process through an online ‘dashboard’. The initiative will focus on providing solutions and ensuring resolutions, as stated by the CM’s office.
Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh has committed to addressing public grievances earnestly and ensuring direct public involvement in policy-making. CM Singh emphasized that the initiative will lay the foundation for inclusive, transparent, and good governance.
The ‘Hello CM’ programme is inspired by the ‘Hello Sarkar’ initiative, which has been in effect at the federal level since the tenure of former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai, managed under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
