Kathmandu: CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Janardan Sharma emphasized the significance of protecting the Himalayas, which he described as Nepal’s prideful treasures, during his visit to a photo exhibition focused on mountaineering tourism at the RSS central office. He acknowledged the challenges involved in preserving their natural beauty and highlighted the economic potential that marketing these natural wonders could bring to the country.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the former minister stressed the importance of the Himalayas, noting their immense natural resources and the global threat posed by climate change. Sharma praised the efforts of the RSS in organizing the exhibition, which showcases images related to the climate crisis, the natural beauty of the region, and local cultures.
Sharma expressed optimism that the photo exhibition would aid in promoting and expanding tourism destinations throughout Nepal. He believes that such initiatives would encourage more visitors to explore the country’s diverse landscapes and cultural heritage.
