RSP Parliamentary Party Meeting Concludes with Plans to Address Corruption

Bhairahawa: The parliamentary party meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party concluded in Bhairahawa with a review of the current session of the parliament, cooling-off period, and the work of constitutional bodies.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the meeting was attended by 15 lawmakers, including the party’s acting chair, DP Aryal. The discussions covered various ongoing parliamentary activities, focusing on the issue of corruption linked to visit visas, which the party has been actively addressing in the parliament. Party chief whip Santosh Pariyar noted that executive interference and involvement of other parties in legislative matters, particularly concerning the cooling-off period in the civil federal bill, have motivated the RSP to foreground public issues in the parliament.

Pariyar further stated that the RSP is attentive to the concerns of tourism entrepreneurs in Lumbini and is committed to raising matters such as the operation of the Bhairahawa international airport in the parliament. He emphasized that the agitation against corruption would expand both on the streets and within the parliamentary framework.
