Kathmandu: The National Assembly, the upper house of the federal parliament, is convening at 1:15 PM today. The meeting will focus on two major proposals concerning legislative and economic matters.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, is set to present a proposal to refer the Film Bill, 2081 to the Legislation Management Committee for a detailed clause-wise discussion. This move aims to ensure a thorough examination of the bill’s contents before any further legislative action.
Additionally, Kamala Panta, Chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, will be presenting a proposal calling for deliberation on a report regarding Nepal’s impending graduation from a Least Developed Country (LDC) to a developing country in 2081. This report is crucial as it outlines the steps and measures needed for Nepal’s transition to a higher economic status.
