Dhangadhi: In its bid to promote tourism activities in the province, the 19th edition of the Sudurpaschim Mahotsav began in Dhangadhi of Kailali on Monday. The event is being organized by the Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the theme of ‘Tourism, Culture, Industry and Trade: Basis for Prosperous Sudurpaschim’.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chair of the Association, Pushkar Raj Ojha, shared that the fair is expected to promote and expand tourism, agriculture, industry, and trade-related businesses in the province as well as promote the culture and arts. Ojha highlighted that this province carries immense development potential.
The fair is expected to witness a business transaction of Rs 150 million. Ojha stated that the fair features approximately 500 stalls showcasing a variety of products including agricultural products, medicinal herbs, handicraft, furniture, automobile, garment, electronics goods, hospitality, and information technology sectors.
