UNDP Resident Coordinator Discusses Peace Process and Disaster Management with Nepal’s Home Minister


Kathmandu: UNDP Resident Coordinator in Nepal, Hanaa Singer Hamdy, called on Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak on Thursday.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Hamdy met Minister Lekhak at the Home Ministry, Singha Durbar, where she discussed the government’s efforts to conclude the remaining tasks of the peace process through transitional justice mechanisms. She also committed that the UNDP would continue to assist Nepal in concluding the peace process and collaborate on disaster management.



During the meeting, Minister Lekhak highlighted that the Nepal government is actively working to conclude the peace process through the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and the Commission on Inquiry of Enforced Disappeared Persons. He expressed gratitude to the UNDP for its support in disaster management and sought continued collaboration in the future.
