Monsoon to Bring Heavy Rainfall Across Nepal


Kathmandu: The Weather Forecasting Division has announced that Nepal will experience cloudy weather today due to the low-pressure belt of the monsoon situated around the Tarai region. The monsoon is expected to be active throughout the country over the next 24 hours.

According to National News Agency Nepal, several areas in the Madhes, Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces are anticipated to receive heavy rainfall. Additionally, a few locations within these provinces may experience torrential rains.

Karnali Province is also expected to witness heavy rainfall in one to two locations. As the night approaches, cloudy conditions are forecasted for the Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with moderate rainfall likely in the hilly areas of Gandaki and Karnali. The majority of the Tarai belt is projected to receive moderate rainfall during the night.
