KMC Deploys Ambulances to Transport Injured Protesters to Hospitals

Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Municipal Corporation (KMC) has taken action by deploying 15 ambulances to transport individuals injured during the Gen-Z protest to hospitals.

According to National News Agency Nepal, KMC Police Chief Rajunath Pandey stated that the ambulances were dispatched to ensure the quick transportation of the injured for medical treatment. City police have also been mobilized to assist in the immediate rescue of those affected.

The KMC has emphasized that the arrangement of ambulances aims to provide additional support for the treatment of protesters and security personnel injured during the demonstration in the capital. Reports of bed shortages in hospitals due to the increasing number of injured prompted KMC Mayor Balendra Shah to instruct the transport of patients to available hospitals as needed, Pandey explained.

Currently, most of the injured are receiving treatment at Civil Hospital in Naya Baneshwor, the Trauma Center, Bir Hospital in Mahanakal, and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj, among other facilities.
