157 People Rescued from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu


Bhairahawa: A rescue flight has been conducted for passengers stranded in Bhairahawa due to incessant rainfall. The Nepal Airlines Corporation’s A320 aircraft played a crucial role in this operation, successfully facilitating the transportation of passengers affected by adverse weather conditions.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the aircraft initially landed in Bhairahawa at 3:43 PM, carrying 76 passengers. Following this, the plane departed from Bhairahawa at 5:40 PM, returning to Kathmandu with 157 passengers on board. Binod Singh Raut, the spokesperson of Gautam Buddha International Airport, provided these details regarding the operation.



Priority on the rescue flight was given to disabled individuals, elderly passengers, the sick, and those on essential travel, ensuring that those most in need received timely assistance amidst the challenging weather conditions.
