Two people were killed and another was injured
in the city’s Matuail area under Jatrabari police station in the early hours of today.
The deceased were identified as Babul Chisti, 44, and Kabir Hossain Bapari, 48.
Both of them were the residents of Shariatpur district, said Inspector Bachchu
Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost.
Police said the accident occurred as a bus hit a pickup van at around 2am. They
were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where they died at around
2:45am.
