Bajura: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against six individuals, including the former officiating chief of the District Health Office in Bajura, Ashok Kumar Singh, at the Special Court. The charges involve allegations of corruption related to the construction of a maternity center.

They are accused of causing damage to public property, as stated by CIAA Spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Poudel.
The District Health Office had tasked the users’ committee with constructing the maternity center at Himali rural municipality-6, budgeting Rs 2.615 million for the project. However, CIAA’s investigation revealed that the building was constructed below the estimated cost and was of substandard quality. Payments were reportedly made using fraudulent bills and reports.
