Renowned social worker, scholar and Netrokona
Mahila Awami League President Kamrunnesa Ashraf Dina, also wife of State
Minister for Social Welfare M Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, passed away last night
while undergoing treatment at a city hospital.
She was 62.
“Dina breathed her last at 10:25pm while undergoing treatment at the
intensive care unit (ICU) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University
(BSMMU) in the capital,” confirmed by an official release here today.
She was suffering from various complications including the Kidney ailment.
Her first Namaj-e-Janaza was held at Tiptop Jam-e Mosque at Circuit House
road in the city’s Kakrail area.
Later, she will be buried at Pauro graveyard of Sadar upazila following her
second Namaj-e-Janaza at Muktar para Math under Netrokona Sadar Upazila at
6pm.
