The “National Local Government Day” was observed in Manikganj under the auspices of the Manikganj District Administration today.
In observance of the ‘National Local Government Day,’ a colourful rally was brought out in the town with the participation of government officials, public representatives,
officials and employees of the local government bodies and people of all walks of lives which paraded the main roads of the town and ended at the Collectorate Bhaban premises.
After the rally, a discussion was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC), chaired by Deputy Director of the Local Government Department Shahina Parvin.
Deputy Commissioner Rahana Akhter was present at the discussion as chief guest.
Manikganj Municipality Mayor Md. Ramjan Ali, Additional Superintendent of Police Imtiaz Mahmud, Executive Engineer of the Local Government Engineering Department Md. Foyzul Haque,
former Deputy Commander of Manikganj District Freedom Fighters Command Council Md. Momin uddin Khan and Chairman Garpara Union Parishad Md. Afsar Uddin Sarker among others, spoke on the occasion.
