A local journalist was killed as a truck
crushed his motorcycle in Aditmari upazila of the district last night.
The deceased was identified as Yunus Ali, district correspondent of Daily
Swadesh Pratidin, hailed from Poshchim Basegram village in Hatibandha
upazila.
Local people said the accident occurred around 8:30 pm last night in Palli
Bidyut area on Patgram-Lalmonirhat Highway. Yunus Ali died on the spot.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Aditmari Thana Mozammel Haque confirmed the
incident.
Police seized the truck but none was arrested in this connection.
