Kathmandu: The Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) has honoured best journalists and employees on the occasion of its 63rd anniversary.
At a programme organised at the central officer here today, Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, presented the award to eight journalists and employees.
Senior Editor Krishna Sapkota has been awarded best editor award, Senior Assistant Reporter Ashok Ghimire as best reporter and Account Officer Rajesh Kumar Shrestha as the best employee.
Similarly, Suresh Acharya (Surkhet) has been awarded as best photo journalist, Ram Bikas Chaudhary (Rupandehi) as the best feature writer, as well as Rupani GM (Banke), Manoj Dahal (Morang) and Niranjan Kumar Sah (Dhanusha) as best district correspondents.
All the award carries a purse of Rs 20,000 each.
Likewise, Minister Sharma honoured Radio Nepal, ratopati.com and Pratik Daily (Birgunj) as the best subscribers.
