Bangladesh contributes to global politics under Sheikh Hasina’s leadership: Nanak

Nanak has said Bangladesh is playing a vital role in global politics under

the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“Sheikh Hasina’s honesty has been praised globally and Bangladesh is now a

role model of development in the world,” he made the remark last night at a

meeting with city unit Awami League at the party office here.

The minister said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has changed the fate of

Bangladesh while the previous governments changed their own fortunes only.

Nanak, who is also a presidium member of Awami League, said Bangabandhu’s

daughter Sheikh Hasina is the most courageous and honest politician in the

history of last 43 years.

Under her dynamic leadership, Bangladesh achieved remarkable progress in the

last 15 years, he said, adding that now Bangladesh has changed a lot than it

was 15 years ago.

With homecoming of Sheikh Hasina, democracy was freed from confinement, he

added.

He said the nation saw the trial of war criminals
and the killers of

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as Sheikh Hasina returned home.

The country also witnessed massive development, including the construction of

the Padma Bridge and metro rail, he said.

Chaired by city unit Awami League president and KCC Mayr Talukder Abdul

Khaleque, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Parliament member of

Khulna-3 constituency S M Kamal Hossain, city unit general secretary M D A

Babul Rana, Al leaders freedom fighters Shyamol Singha Roy, Nur Islam Band,

Mokbul Hossain Mintu, advocate Ayub Ali Sheikh and Mahbub Alam Sohag.
